  • Updated

WAE’s updated Timekeeping system offers increased visibility and simplifies timecard management for both Employers and Employees using WAE Enterprise.

Employee Punching

Employees are only required to Punch In at the start of their shift and Punch Out at the end. Unpaid breaks are automatically deducted, removing the administrative burden of managing break times.

Viewing Timecards

Enterprise users can view timecards by pay period or by day. The system displays relevant statistics based on the selected view, making it easier to track hours.

Timecard Approval Workflow

We’ve streamlined the Employer approval process into three simple steps:

  • Step 1: Approve Clean Timecards
Approve any timecards in “Pending” status with no issues.
  • Step 2: Fix Issues
Address timecards marked as Suspicious or with Missing Punches. Once corrected, they move to Step 1 for approval.
  • Step 3: Resolve Disputes
Review and resolve Disputed timecards submitted by Employees. Once resolved, they also move to Step 1.

Department Allocation

Employers can allocate hours within a shift to specific departments or cost centers.
Learn more in our Department Allocation in WAE Timekeeping help article.

GPS & Attendance Verification

Employers can view Employee GPS and attendance data directly on the timekeeping page to confirm on-site presence and roster check-ins.
Learn more in our Enterprise GPS Tracking help article.

Filters & Tags

Use filters to create a custom list of timecards to review, act on, or approve. Tags help quickly identify the status of a timecard:

  • Looks Good – Ready for approval
  • Missing Punch – In or out punch is missing
  • Suspicious – Needs review for punch times or break durations
  • Disputed – Requires resolution of an employee dispute
