If you notice an error in your timecard—such as incorrect punches, break times, or total hours—you can submit a Time Dispute directly in the WAE system.
Timecard Dispute Window
Disputes are available 15 minutes following the end of the shift and can be submitted for up to 48 hours after the shift. From there, the facility will review and update your time accordingly.
How to Submit a Timecard Dispute
WAE provides several ways to initiate a Time Dispute:
Break Confirmation
For shifts longer than six hours, WAE will ask if you took your required 30-minute break when clocking out. If you select "No", you’ll be prompted to complete a Time Dispute.
Early Punch-Out
If you punch out before your scheduled end time, you’ll be asked to provide a reason.
Punch-Out Confirmation Screen
After clocking out, you’ll see a summary of your shift with the option to dispute any part of it.
- If your timecard looks correct, click on Looks Good.
- If your timecard looks incorrect, click on Submit Time Dispute.
Job History
You can review past shifts in the Job History section. If it's within 48 hours of the shift's end, you’ll see a Dispute option for eligible timecards.
Submitting the Dispute
When submitting a Timecard Dispute, you’ll need to enter:
- Your suggested Punch In and Punch Out times
- The Break Duration (if applicable)
- A brief reason for the dispute
What Happens Next
Your Timecard Dispute will be reviewed by the facility. If approved, your timecard and attendance will be updated accordingly.
Time Theft
Claiming hours that are not actually worked is considered time theft and will result in being permanently deactivated in the WAE app.
